Applications
LivingWood
strips and boards are suitable for virtually any interior surface.
LivingWood
23mm strips
are generally used for new or replacement applications and are usually 'secret'
or 'top' nailed onto joists, alternatively they can be fixed to concrete with
wood-block adhesive.
LivingWood
10mm
strips
are recommended for covering new or existing strong flat surfaces such as old
floorboards, concrete or chipboard. They can be either pinned and stuck to
existing floors, or laid on top of them to create a 'floating floor'
LivingWood
18mm
boards are
used for either new or replacement applications and are suitable for 'secret'
or 'top' nailing onto joists, alternatively they can be fixed to concrete with
wood-block adhesive or floated.
A
"floating" floor, or "raft", is a floor which is not fixed
to the sub-surface.
It is formed by gluing LivingWood
strips or boards together on a cushioning underlay above a rigid substructure, like
existing floorboards.
